Fish weighing greater than 3,130lb have been caught throughout a doubles competitors at a well-liked Shropshire fishery and vacation park on the weekend.
The Doubles Pageant on Saturday and Sunday was the primary competitors held at Spring Lea Vacation Park and Fishery underneath the brand new possession of Shrewsbury-based leisure firm, Salop Caravans Websites.
Thirty-six anglers from Shropshire and Mid Wales competed in groups of two, with every staff member fishing Mallard and Orfe swimming pools on alternate days. Catches have been spectacular, with carp as much as 17lb contributing to the general complete weight.

The general winners have been Brian Travis and Mick Keene with a catch weight of 358lb 12oz. Runners up have been Melvin and Mark Kearns with 333lb 12oz and third have been Wealthy and Gary Margerison with 269lb 1oz.
The competitors was sponsored by Middy Sort out, Adrenaline Baits and Gocatchfish.
Ed Glover, affiliate director of Salop Caravans Websites, thanked the anglers, sponsors and fishery bailiff Brian Morgan for his or her help. “It was a really profitable weekend,” he mentioned. “We have been very impressed with the weights returned by the anglers and the standard and situation of the fish.
“This was the primary of a collection of competitions that can be hosted by the fishery underneath new possession within the coming months.”
Spring Lea Fishery and Vacation Park is located six miles from Shrewsbury, between the villages of Hanwood and Pontesbury, and has six swimming pools stocked with carp, bream, tench and roach.
